BOCC Minutes - 2/19; 3/18; 4/15 <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Laura Blackmon, County Manager, 245- <br />2306 <br />Gwen Harvey, Assistant Manager, 245- <br />2307 <br />Gayle Wilson, Solid Waste Director, <br />968-2285 <br />PURPOSE: <br />To request BOCC receive presentation and background reports from Olver, Inc. on Preliminary <br />Exclusionary Criteria, receive public comment and input, and consider formal adoption of Final <br />Exclusionary Criteria, incorporating additional modifications as may be desired. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />At its Transfer Station Siting Work Session Meeting on April 15th, the BOCC continued its review <br />and discussion of draft Preliminary Exclusionary Criteria, including comments from members of <br />the public present, with its consultants, Olver, Inc. In the end, the BOCC formulated a list of <br />items and issues for Olver, Inc. to note and address in advance of the next work session on May <br />20th. <br />The recommendation from Olver, Inc. regarding final Exclusionary Criteria and illustrative maps <br />(figures) are provided in Attachment 1. The supporting documents in response to the BOCC <br />direction -reports, worksheets, and maps -are provided in Attachment 2. <br />The purpose of the work session tonight is to reach agreement and formally adopt -background <br />documentation, illustrative mapping (figures), and public comment considered -.the final BOCC <br />approved Exclusionary Criteria that will define the Transfer Station Siting process moving <br />forward. <br />The BOCC will consider the Technical and Community Specific Criteria in subsequent work <br />sessions, including examination and incorporation of public comment.
