However, nothing herein shall be construed as a. <br />requirement that the ca2Dty—ar the state remove the CATV <br />sy stem _in the event the grantee does not. Removal as herein <br />prescribed shall commence not later than six months from the <br />date of the action requiring removal and shall be completed <br />within a reasonable time thereafter. <br />Section VIII. Authority granted by the franchise. <br />(a) The grantee of any franchise granted pursuant <br />to the provisions of this ordinance shall, subject to the <br />conditions and restrictions set out in this ordinance and any <br />franchise ordinance adopted pursuant to this ordinance, be <br />authorized to construct or have constructed, operate and <br />maintain a CATV system; and, to engage in the business of <br />providing a CATV service in those unincorporated areas of <br />orange County defined in the franchise, and for that purpose <br />to erect, install, construct, repair, replace, re-construct, <br />maintain and retain in, over, on, under, upon, across, and <br />along any public street, such poles, wires, cables, <br />conductors, ducts, conduits, vaults, manholes, amplifiers, <br />appliances, attachments and other property as may be <br />necessary and appurtanant to the 'CATV system (Provided, <br />however, that before any pole, wire, or other thing mentioned <br />1-6 <br />
