Pro ertV of�grantee shall mean all_ property owned and <br />installed or used by a grantee in the operation of a CATV <br />system or service in the county under authority of a <br />franchise granted pursuant to this ordinance. <br />Street or road shall mean the surface of and the space above <br />and below any public or privately -owned or maintained <br />property or right -of --way, street, road, highway, freeway, <br />lane, path, alley, sidewalk, parkway or drive, now or <br />hereafter existing within the unincorporated areas of Orange <br />County. <br />Subscriber shall mean any person or entity receiving for any <br />purpose the CATV service of any grantee. <br />Section III. Franchise required. <br />It shall be unlawful for any person to engage in <br />the construction, operation, or maintenance of a CATV system <br />in the unincorporated areas of the County unless such person <br />or the person for whom such action is being taken shall have <br />first obtained and shall currently hold a valid franchise <br />granted pursuant to this ordinance. It shall also be <br />unlawful for any person to provide a CATV service in the <br />unincorporated areas of the county, unless such person shall <br />have first obtained and does currently hold a valid franchise <br />granted Pursuant to the provisions of this ordinance. <br />However, ti7is section is subject to the provisions of section <br />XVIII hereof. <br />
