Purpose. <br />In the public interest and for the promotion of the <br />public health, safety, welfare and convenience, and pursuant <br />to statutory authority contained in N.C.G.S. Section 153A-137 <br />and .other applicable laws, the following rules are adopted, <br />which rules set forth the conditions, limitations, <br />restrictions and requirements under which a person may <br />construct or cause to be constructed, operate and maintain a <br />community antenna television system, and engage in the <br />business of providing a community antenna television service <br />in the unincorporated areas of Orange County. <br />Section II. Definitions. <br />For the purposes of this ordinance, the following. <br />terms, phrases, words, abbreviations, and their derivations <br />shall. have the meaning given herein. When not inconsistent <br />with the context, words used in the present tense include the <br />future tense. The word "shall" is always mandatory a-jk, not <br />merely directory. <br />Board shall mean the board of county commissioners of Orange <br />County, North Carolina. <br />CATV shall mean cable (r_ommunity ant.-nna) television. <br />1 <br />
