f All enclosures used to transport animals <br />shall be disinfected after each use and as needed. <br />4. Care in Transit <br />a The attendant or driver shall be respon- <br />sible for inspecting the animals frequently enough to assure the <br />health and comfort of the animals and to determine if emergency <br />care is needed and to obtain said emergency care if needed. <br />b. If any animal is in A vehicle for more than <br />three (3) hours, it shall be provided fresh, drinkable water, and <br />food as appropriate. <br />C. Each animal in transit shall have a tag af- <br />fixed to its collar of a type approved by the United States <br />Department of Agriculture. <br />3. Records: <br />a. Every person who sells, gives, exchanges, or other- <br />wise delivers any animal to a collector must receive from the <br />collector a written receipt, a copy of which is to be kept by the <br />collector, signed by both the owner or keeper and the collector, <br />stating the following: <br />1. the number of animals received by the <br />collector; <br />2. the sex, breed, and a general description of <br />each animal received and the U.S. Department of Agriculture :num- <br />ber assigned to each animal; <br />34 <br />
