D. All persons owning security dogs that are classed as <br />patrol dogs 'or sentry dogs as defined by this ordinance shall <br />register such animals with the Animal. Control Director; the owner <br />or keeper of any dog that is classed as a patrol dog or sentry <br />dog under this ordinance shall place a sign or placard on his <br />premises noting "Beware of Dog" or other information noting the <br />presence of security dog(s). <br />E. If an animal is impounded as vicious, authorization for <br />reclamation after any required holding period shall be granted <br />when the Animal Shelter. Manager [-- h.s-.o- - e- s-i-gc in con- <br />sultation with the Animal Control Director Fo-r­h -i-s- -&r -4x-e­& <br />Aes -ig -nee} is reasonably assured that the animal is not vicious or <br />the vicious animal will be properly restrained on the premises of <br />its owner or keeper. <br />XIII <br />Section [K4V4 - Impoundment of Animals. <br />A. An animal impounded under this ordinance may be <br />reclaimed by its owner or keeper according to the procedures of <br />the Animal Shelter. The owner or keeper of an impounded animal <br />shall be responsible for all expenses and boarding costs as- <br />sociated with such impoundment. Unless reclaimed, the impounded <br />animal may be allowed to be adopted or humanely destroyed accord- <br />ing to standard Animal Shelter procedures after five (5) days of <br />impoundment. <br />B. In lieu of impoundment, the Animal Control Director is <br />authorized to issue a confinement order to the animal owner or <br />19 <br />
