Exposed to Rabies: An animal has been exposed to <br />rabies within the meaning of this ordinance if it has been bitten <br />by, or otherwise come into contact with, any animal known or <br />suspected to have been infected with rabies. <br />13. Harbor: An Animal shall be deemed to be harbored if it <br />i's fed or sheltered by the same person or household for seventy - <br />two (72) consecutive hours or more. <br />14. Keeper: A person having custody of an animal or who <br />keeps or harbors an animal or who knowingly permits an animal to <br />remain on or about any premises occupied or. controlled by such <br />person. <br />17. Noncommercial Kennels: Any. person maintaining an es- <br />tablishment where animals of any species, excluding domesticated <br />livestock, are kept for the purpose of showing, competition, <br />hunting or sport, and which establishment is so constructed that <br />the animals cannot stray therefrom, and which maintains more than <br />five but less than 15 animals. <br />18. Owner: Any person owning, keeping, having charge of, <br />sheltering, feeding, harboring or taking care of any animal. The <br />owner of an animal is responsible for the care, actions, and be- <br />havior of the animal. <br />7 <br />
