BY-LAWS <br />OF <br />PUBLIC/PRIVATE PARTNERSHIP <br />ARTICLE I <br />Section 1 - Preamble <br />17 t! <br />The public/Private Partnership is an association of individuals <br />residing in the State of North Carolina, The association is a <br />voluntary, not-for-profit entity governed by its Board of Directors <br />in conformity with By -laws promulgated by the Board. <br />Section 2 - Name <br />The name of the organization will be the public/Private Partner- <br />ship. <br />Section 3 - Purpose <br />The purposes of the public/Private Partnership shall be to: <br />1. Provide an interdisciplinary forum for the discu�.s;ion Of <br />issues of importance to the local community. <br />2. Sponsor meetings and trips designed to expose civic <br />leaders to alternative approaches to various local <br />issues. <br />3. Develop task forces to address specific topical issues <br />with a view toward the establishment of consensus posi- <br />tions for presentation before appropriate organizations <br />and governmental bodies. <br />4. Provide opportunities for the community's major leaders <br />to become better acquainted. <br />Section 4 - Limitations <br />The Association is a non-profit organization and no part of the net <br />
