<br />KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
<br />That in consideration of One Dollar ($1.00) and other good
<br />and valuable consideration paid to Duke University, Inc. ,
<br />hereinafter ref �rred to as GRANTOR, by Orange County, North
<br />Carolina, 106 Margaret Lane, Hillsborough, N.C. 27278,
<br />�hereinafter referred to as GRANTEE, the receipt of which is

<br />sellt transfer, and conve un
<br />w to the GRANTEE, its successor and
<br />��1 assigns, a perpetual easement with the right to erect, construct,
<br />install, and lay, and thereafter use, operate, inspect, repair,
<br />maintain, replace, and remove a sanitary sewer collection system,
<br />including all appurten races and apparatus related thereto over,
<br />across, and through % Land of the GRANTOR situate in Orange
<br />County, State of North Carolina,

<br />County Registry.
<br />together with the right of ingress and egress over the adjacent
<br />lands of the GRANTOR, his successors and assigns, for the pur-
<br />poses of this easement.
<br />The easement shall be twenty (20) feet in width, the center
<br />line of which is described as follows:
<br />Beginning at a CONTROL POINT, North Carolina State Plane
<br />Coordinates N(y) = 849,033.11 , E(x) = 1,9580335.63, sta-
<br />tion 112 +83.34 and ending at a CONTROL POINT, North
<br />Carolina State Plane Coordinates N(y) = 848,893.71 , E(x) =
<br />1,958,753.81, Station 117 +35.74 as shown on plat of survey
<br />entitled Easement Acquisition Survey, Efland Cheeks Township
<br />Sanitary Sewer Facilities, Sheet No. 15 , dated
<br />Nov., 1985 ,prepared by Robert L. Newcomb, III, RLS, which
<br />plat is recorded at Plat Book , Page,, Orange
<br />County Registry. There is also conveyed to the GRANTEE a
<br />construction easement forty (40) feet wide, the center line
<br />of which is described above.
<br />The consideration hereinabove recited shall constitute pay -
<br />ment in full for any damages to the land of the GRANTOR, his suc-
<br />cessors and assigns, by reason of the installation, operation,
<br />and maintenance of the structures or improvements referred to
<br />herein. The GRANTEE covenants to maintain the easement in good
<br />repair so that no unreasonable damage will result from its use to
<br />- - the adjacent land of the GRANTOR, his successors and assigns.
