She said she has been contacted by some members about attendance <br /> being low which leads to inconsistency in meetings. <br /> Chair McKee offered to write a letter to the Board Chair about the topic. <br /> Commissioner Rich suggested speaking with Steve Brantley about this attendance. <br /> She said that effort is taken in appointing members to the Board as they appear to be <br /> interested, and she would like to insure that they are indeed interested in attending meetings <br /> and serving. <br /> Chair McKee said he could also attend a meeting. <br /> 12. Board Comments <br /> Commissioner Price had no comments. <br /> Commissioner Rich said the Solid Waste Advisory Group (SWAG) meetings are coming <br /> closer to an end as related to the fees for recycling. She said it has been a real learning <br /> experience for her. She said there has been very good discussion, and she feels positive. <br /> She said the SWAG will now move into phase two where there will be more discussion about <br /> the interlocal agreement, solid waste issues and the plan for the future. She said an update <br /> will be given after the next few meetings have occurred. <br /> Chair McKee thanked Commissioners Rich and Jacobs for their efforts. <br /> Commissioner Burroughs echoed Chair McKee's thanks for the efforts regarding <br /> SWAG. <br /> Commissioner Pelissier noted that this is National Public Health Week. <br /> Commissioner porosin said on Friday, April 10th , the Chapel Hill-Carrboro National <br /> Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) has its annual Freedom Fund <br /> Banquet at 6:OOpm.
