193 <br /> The Public Hearing to review this case is scheduled for Tuesday, May 26, 2015 at 7:00 <br /> p.m. in Orange County Whitted Human Services Center Complex, 300 West Tryon Street, <br /> Hillsborough,NC 27278. The case will be referred to the Orange County Planning Board for its <br /> review and recommendation with the BOCC taking final action on the application at a future <br /> meeting. <br /> It should be remembered that the review of all SUP applications are carried out in a <br /> quasi-judicial format, meaning that decisions relating to the approval or denial of a application <br /> are based solely on the sworn testimony of all parties involved with the case, both those for and <br /> against an application, as well as the review of competent material and substantial evidence <br /> submitted during the public hearing. <br /> While County regulations and State law do not require that parties be represented by an <br /> attorney, it may be in your best interests to secure legal council to represent your interests at the <br /> hearing. <br /> Further the applicant has the burden of establishing, by the submission of competent <br /> material and substantial evidence, the existence of facts and conditions that demonstrate the <br /> projects compliance with the various requirements and standards detailed within the Orange <br /> County Unified Development Ordinance (UDO).
