Box 8181 <br /> www.orangecountync.gov NORTH CAROLINA Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br /> %Ala <br /> Amwan <br /> May 8,2015 <br /> Subject: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING — Review of a Special Use Permit (Class A) <br /> application submitted by Emerson Waldorf to allow for the <br /> modification/expansion of their existing campus located at 6211 New Jericho <br /> Road <br /> Dear Property Owner: <br /> The Orange County Planning Department has received a Special Use Permit (Class A) <br /> application, submitted by Emerson Waldorf, to modify/expand their existing 54 acre campus <br /> located at 6211 New Jericho Road within the Chapel Hill Township of the County. <br /> The campus, further identified utilizing Orange County Parcel Identification Number(s) <br /> (PIN): <br /> • 9871- 64-7391; <br /> • 9871-64-5632; <br /> 0 9871-65-8140; 9871-74-3098; and <br /> • 9871-72-1935 <br /> are zoned Rural Buffer (RB), Please refer to the attached vicinity map for additional site <br /> information and location details. <br /> The applicant is requesting to amend their existing permit by having the County adopt a <br /> comprehensive master plan spelling out the construction and location of new buildings and <br /> support facilities over the next 15-years. The plan(s) are envisioned to support an increase in <br /> student population for the school to accommodate approximately 350 students by 2030. <br /> In accordance with Section 2.7 of the Orange County Unified Development Ordinance <br /> (UDO), the County is required to notify property owners within 500 feet of the request that an <br /> application has been filed and that a Public Hearing will be conducted as part of the review <br /> process. The Public Hearing for this item is scheduled for May 26,2015. <br /> As a property owner within 500 feet of the request, you have the right to address the <br /> Board of County commissioners(BOCC)and Planning Board concerning this request. <br />
