Box 8181 www.orangecountync.gov NORTH CAROLINA Hillsborough, NC 27278 %Ala Amwan May 8,2015 Subject: NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING — Review of a Special Use Permit (Class A) application submitted by Emerson Waldorf to allow for the modification/expansion of their existing campus located at 6211 New Jericho Road Dear Property Owner: The Orange County Planning Department has received a Special Use Permit (Class A) application, submitted by Emerson Waldorf, to modify/expand their existing 54 acre campus located at 6211 New Jericho Road within the Chapel Hill Township of the County. The campus, further identified utilizing Orange County Parcel Identification Number(s) (PIN): • 9871- 64-7391; • 9871-64-5632; 0 9871-65-8140; 9871-74-3098; and • 9871-72-1935 are zoned Rural Buffer (RB), Please refer to the attached vicinity map for additional site information and location details. The applicant is requesting to amend their existing permit by having the County adopt a comprehensive master plan spelling out the construction and location of new buildings and support facilities over the next 15-years. The plan(s) are envisioned to support an increase in student population for the school to accommodate approximately 350 students by 2030. In accordance with Section 2.7 of the Orange County Unified Development Ordinance (UDO), the County is required to notify property owners within 500 feet of the request that an application has been filed and that a Public Hearing will be conducted as part of the review process. The Public Hearing for this item is scheduled for May 26,2015. As a property owner within 500 feet of the request, you have the right to address the Board of County commissioners(BOCC)and Planning Board concerning this request.
