Box 8181 <br /> www.orangecountync.gov NORTH CARZOLINA Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br /> MCI <br /> MEMORANDUM <br /> TO: Michael Harvey, current Planning Supervisor <br /> FROM: Sam Schultz <br /> DATE: January 8, 2014 <br /> SUBJECT: Class A SUP Emerson Waldorf— Neighborhood Information Meeting <br /> Minutes <br /> Attendees: Michael Harvey, Patrick Mallett, and Sam Schultz (Orange County staf), <br /> Terry Boylan (consultant with Summit), Charles Viles, Mark Hulbert, and Keith <br /> Bartholomew (Emerson Waldorf). <br /> Staff opened the doors to the first floor meeting room and insured access doors were <br /> open at the front of the building at 5:00 PM. NIM signs were also posted at the doors <br /> directing the public to the conference room. The front doors were periodically checked <br /> throughout the meeting to insure access for the public and to check for anyone looking <br /> for the meeting. <br /> 5:30 pm representatives from Emerson Waldorf and there consultant were ready to <br /> present to the public. <br /> 5:45 pm with no members of the public having arrived, Michael started the meeting by <br /> giving a synopsis of the process of how a Neighborhood Information Meeting (NIM) <br /> works and the next steps in the Special Use Permit (S.U.P.) process. <br /> 5:55 pm Michael completed his synopsis of the NIM process and opened the floor to <br /> question. No questions were asked and the representatives thanked Michael for the <br /> presentation and explanation. <br /> With no members of the public and no additional questions about the project from any <br /> party it was decided to use the time, awaiting any members of the public, to briefly <br /> discuss the mornings DAC review of the project. The Emerson Waldorf representatives <br /> were informed that the comments would be finalized in an official letter mailed to them; <br /> however this would allow for discussion on items to provide greatly clarity. <br /> 7:05 pm with no members of the public having attended and no further items to discuss <br /> the meeting was adjourned. <br />
