The Emerson Waldorf School is requesting to amend <br /> their current SUP to both modify and expand their existing campus. Part of their request is to <br /> have adopt a Master Plan for the school, which spells out the construction and location of new <br /> buildings and support facilities over the next 15-years. The Master Plan is envisioned to support <br /> an increase in student population to approximately 350 students by 2030. <br /> The Orange County Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) requires that any SUP <br /> Application proposing the creation, modification or expansion of use that requires a SUP to hold <br /> a Neighborhood Information Meeting (NIM). This meeting is designed to allow property owners <br /> within 500 feet of the subject property to review and discuss the proposal with the applicant <br /> and/or their agents, as well as obtain an understanding of the SUP review and approval <br /> process. The NIM for this case will be held on Friday April 10, 2015 from 12:00-1:30pm at 131 <br /> West Margaret Lane, Hillsborough, NC 27278. See below for the location and additional details. <br /> Please note, the Public Hearing for this item is not scheduled to occur until May 26, <br /> 2015, 2015. Additional notices shall be sent informing you of the date/location/time of this <br /> meeting. <br /> The review of all SUP applications are carried out in a quasi-judicial format meaning that <br /> decisions relating to the approval or denial of an application are based solely on the sworn <br /> testimony of all parties involved with the case, both those for and against an application, as well <br /> as the review of competent material and substantial evidence submitted during the public <br /> hearing. <br />
