After waiting 5
minutes for additional attendees, staff began the meeting with an overview of the project
for the benefit for those in attendance.
Upon staff completing their presentation, which focused on the process associated with
the review and approval of Special Use Permits, Emerson Waldorf and there consultant
addressed those in attendance of the specific elements of the project and the cadence
of construction that would occur.
The only member of the public wanted clarification on the location of the proposed new
buildings to ensure they were not going to be in close proximity to his property. The
applicant reviewed the site plan with this individual and address this concern.
A question was asked about lighting, specifically focusing on the proposed new athletic
complex along Millhouse Road. The concern was over the purported erection of athletic
field lights. The applicant indicated they were not proposing any outdoor lighting as part
of this project. Staff indicated any future development of outdoor athletic field lights
would require a modification of the permit, which would have to be re-reviewed by the
County in a public hearing.
