The request seeks to accommodate planned school expansions of the campus and its facilities for the foreseeable future. The 5 lot 54-acre campus is zoned Rural Buffer (RB) with Jordan Lake Unprotected, and Major Transportation Corridor (MTC) Overlay Districts. Staff determined on December 23, 2014 that the materials submitted were sufficient to proceed with the SUP process as defined in Section 2.7 of the Orange County Unified development Ordinance. On December 30, 2014 Orange County Planning Staff delivered courtesy review copies of the submitted materials to the NCDOT District Engineer, Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro for professional review and comment. On the morning of January 8, 2015 Orange County Staff presented the case before Orange County Development Advisory committee (DAC), and on the evening of January 8, 2015 a Neighborhood Information Meeting (NIM) was conducted.
