Having somewhat <br />recently moved to Orange County and having had time to settle down some, I am looking <br />to get involved in the community by serving on a board. <br />Past Service on Orange County Advisory Boards: <br />None <br />Boards /Commissions applied for: <br />Orange County Parks and Recreation Council <br />Background, education and experience relevant to this board: <br />My background is in healthcare and in education though I have a lifetime of experience in <br />recreation playing community summer baseball and local parks growing up as well as continuing <br />to play league softball during the summer. I am also an Eagle Scout and appreciate the <br />importance of being outdoors and connecting with nature which is important to me. <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />I grew up in rural Johnston County on a farm and was active as a youth in various sports and <br />activities. I appreciate the role good community parks have in maintaining a vibrant active <br />community.
