He said the lower level of the West Campus Office Buildingis being <br />16 <br />proposed as the location for this project.He said this location is designed for such a centeras <br />17 <br />this. He said this is also being discussed as a permanent center.He said there are current <br />18 <br />meeting rooms that are located there,but these roomscould be moved elsewhere, such as the <br />19 <br />lower level of the Link Center. <br />20 <br />Jim Groves, of Emergency Services,said if the co-locations work out,they would be <br />21 <br />building on the north side with the Hillsborough Fire Departmentandthe Town of Hillsborough, <br />22 <br />and the Revere Road Station would be able to move there. He said the other field sub-stations <br />23 <br />are in the CIPfor the second year with plans to do something in the Waterstone area. <br />24 <br />Paul Laughton saidthe information about the back-upEmergency Services Centeris on <br />st <br />25 <br />page 44. He said the State of North Carolina is requiring a plan bein place by July 1, 2015, <br />26 <br />and theexpenses wouldbecovered by E-911 funds. He said the sub-stations information were <br />27 <br />are on page 42. <br />28 <br />Commissioner Pelissier askedabout the timeline for determining whether the proposed <br />29 <br />back up at West Campuswould remain a backup or a permanent site. <br />30 <br />Jim Groves said it is a priority now to have a 911 center backup. She said the library will <br />46 <br />be installing a library kiosk, holding about five hundred items, to coincide with the opening of the <br />47 <br />Cedar Grove Community Center. She said this kiosk will be serviced by the current currier <br />48 <br />service.
