Insurance&Claims:
RWC has not encountered litigation, arbitration or mediation disputes in the last 10 years. We did encounter a very large
dispute in 2002.Seven companies filed individual/separate Claims against the State of NC regarding the State Museum of
Natural Sciences/Project,Raleigh.RWC was one of the seven. The situation had many complexities, too complex to recall
here.A two day Mediation was eventually agreed to by all seven parties.Following the two days..,the State was able to
settled w/six of seven. RWC was one of the six. Each of the six parties received aprox. 113 amount of their Claim. The
seventh party(the General Contractor)rec'd zero.RWC agreed to the settlement because our liability carrier offered a
sizeable amount in addition to the State offer. The summation of the two amounts enabled RWC to remedy accumulated
debt due to a very time extended project and due to the legal fees. Although RWC filed a Claim against the State...RWC
also provided support&essential information to the State of NC wl regard to the other Claims.
A bad situation was resolved.RWC rec'd an unsolicited educational experience.
