Orange County Library Services h <br />the Orange County Public Library <br />This budget amendment provides <br />1, column 3) <br />Department of Social Services <br />as received a $1,000 contribution from the Friends of <br />to support the library's Summer Reading materials. <br />for the receipt of these grant funds. (See Attachment <br />4. The Department of Social Services has received notification of additional Child Protective <br />Services funds of $142,488 and Monthly Caseworker Visit funds of $6,336 from the <br />Department of Health and Human Services, Division of Social Services. These funds will <br />be used by the department to assist in chore services for the elderly to avoid institutional <br />placement. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds. (See <br />Attachment 1, column 4) <br />Health Department <br />5. The Health Department has received notification from the North Carolina Public Health <br />Foundation of the receipt of $4,500 in North Carolina Diabetes Education Recognition <br />Program funds. The department will use these funds to pay for membership in Diabetes <br />focused professional organizations, attendance at training and educational sessions to <br />obtain continuing education credits in diabetes related topics, and patient education <br />materials. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these funds.
