Mr. Scroggs has been responsible for many challenging and <br />controversial issues during his tenure, including redistricting/student assignment, budget, human <br />resources, transportation, food service, maintenance and construction. <br />Steve Scroggs comes from a family focused on education. His mother served as a school <br />board member and is the namesake, for Mary Scroggs Elementary School. The Chapel Hill- <br />Carrboro Association of Education Office Professionals has recognized Mr. Scroggs three times <br />since 2000 as the "Administrator of the Year". <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with consideration of the <br />resolution. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Baard approve the attached <br />resolution recognizing Steve Scroggs for his years of service and on his retirement and <br />authorize the Chair to sign the resolution. <br />
