3 <br />In addition to posting the Draft Comprehensive Plan online, copies of the Public Hearing Draft <br />Plan have also been made available for reference at the County's public libraries and at the <br />Orange County Planning and Inspections Department. <br />Submittal of Written Public Comments Following Public Hearing. <br />The County will continue to accept written public comments on the Draft Comprehensive Plan <br />following the May 19t" Public Hearing. The Planning Board can guarantee that they will <br />consider all written public comments, during the development of their recommendations to the <br />BOCC, that are submitted on or before the date of their next regular meeting, June 4, 2008. All <br />written comments submitted will also accompany the Planning Board's recommendation to the <br />BOCC. . <br />Written comments can be submitted directly to the Planning. Board at their June 4t" meeting or <br />in advance by e-mail or US Postal Service at the following addresses: <br />CompPlanUpdate ~co.orange.nc.us <br />Orange County Planning Board <br />Attn: Tom Altieri, Comprehensive Planning Supervisor <br />Orange County Planning and Inspections Department <br />306-F Revere Rd., PO Box 8181 <br />Hillsborough, NC 27278 <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with hearing this item. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): In accordance with the approved timetable, Administration <br />recommends referral to the Planning Board for a recommendation to be returned to the BOCC <br />August 19, 2008. <br />The Planning Board will provide specific recommendations for any additional changes to the <br />draft Comprehensive Plan that may be required in response to comments heard from the BOCC <br />and/or public. The Planning Board will also consider comments collected at the Countywide <br />Public Input Meetings that have been ,held during Phase IL <br />Staff Note: Per the adopted Comprehensive Plan Update Process, the BOCC may also refer <br />public hearing items to any of the other lead advisory boards that are involved: Affordable <br />Housing Advisory Board, Agricultural Preservation Board, Commission for the Environment, <br />Economic Development Commission, Historic Preservation Commission, Orange Unified <br />Transportation Board, and Recreation and Parks Advisory Council. <br />
