ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />PROCLAMATION OF RECOGNITION FOR <br />CHAPEL HILL HIGH SCHOOL'S FENCING TEAM WINNING THE <br />2015 STATE CHAMPIONSHIP <br />WHEREAS, on February 21, 2015 the Chapel Hill High School Fencing Team captured the <br />North Carolina Fencing League's State Championship; and, <br />WHEREAS, under the guidance of Coach Doug Guild, Chapel Hill High School's Fencing <br />Team earned its third state title, also winning the trophy in 2012 and 2014; and, <br />WHEREAS, Iaan Hufford, Ariel Hoerter, Jack Obringer, Brody Rich- Voorhees, Zoe Miller and <br />Darshan Gove contributed to winning the State Championship; and, <br />WHEREAS, through hard work, dedication, teamwork, and commitment, the Tigers brought <br />honor upon themselves, Chapel Hill High School, the Chapel Hill / Carrboro <br />School District and Orange County; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, be it proclaimed that the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />expresses its sincere appreciation and respect for the Chapel Hill High School <br />Fencing Team, for the Tigers' outstanding achievement, and for their inspiration to <br />youth across North Carolina through their dedication, teamwork, and athletic <br />prowess. <br />This the 21" day of April 2015. <br />Earl McKee, Chair <br />Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />
