(cont.) <br />-Orange County system is an unbalanced system <br />5 channel (frequency pair) on some towers <br />8 channel (frequency pair) on others <br />-This can create busy “bonks” where users cannot communicate <br />- VIPER towers located at: <br />Eno Mountain – Hillsborough <br />Water tower - UNC Chapel Hill <br />Laws – Northern border of Orange/Caswell <br />Chatham Mountain – Southern border of Orange <br />Mebane (new) – City of Mebane <br /> <br />Map Legend <br />GREEN = GOOD <br />YELLOW = FAIR <br />RED = MARGINAL <br />GRAY = NO COVERAGE <br />The maps presented in the report are software models that are representative of actual real <br />world coverage <br /> <br />Current viper “talk-in” MAP <br /> <br />Proposed New Tower Sites <br />-Five (5) additional sites were selected to improve VIPER coverage within Orange County <br /> <br />
