The Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) is typically a recurring <br />two -year process: <br />First year: Develops priority list of projects to request in <br />TIP for BOCC approval. <br />Second year: Recommends comments regarding draft TIP <br />for BOCC approval to submit to NCDOT during <br />the public comment period. <br />The OUTBoard assists with the identification and prioritization of NCDOT <br />projects for rural (TARPO RPO) and metropolitan (DCHC MPO and BG <br />MPO) planning areas. <br />2. Reviews active NCDOT projects in the County, including various paving, <br />construction and CMAQ projects. <br />3. Receives updates and reviews the progress of NCDOT transportation <br />projects within rural Orange County. <br />4. Receives updates and reviews the progress of Orange County <br />transportation planning efforts. <br />5. Receives updates on TARPO, BG MPO and DCHC MPO transportation <br />planning activities. <br />6.
