93 <br />Brief Statement of Board /Commission's Assigned Charge and <br />Responsibilities: <br />1. The OUTBoard is charged with advising with Board of County Commissioners <br />on the planning and programming of transportation infrastructure <br />improvements and other County transportation planning initiatives, as <br />directed by the Board <br />2. From time to time the OUTBoard may be directed to provide input on <br />regulations on which the Planning Board has primary statutory and local <br />ordinance advisory duties. In such instances, the OUTBoard shall serve in an <br />advisory capacity to the Planning Board. <br />What are your Board /Commission's most important accomplishments? <br />In 2014, the OUTBoard has: <br />1. Made a recommendation to the BOCC on the Draft OPT System Goals <br />and the Five -Year Bus Service Expansion Program recommendations. <br />2. Received a presentation update from staff on the activities of the Work <br />Group for Outlining Rural and Central Orange County Public Transit <br />Needs. <br />3. Several OUTBoard members attended the public outreach meetings for <br />the OCBRIP bus planning. <br />4. Reviewed and provided comments on staff recommended Hillsborough <br />Circulator route changes to correct deficiencies currently manifesting with <br />the operation of the service and to provide service to new locations in and <br />around Hillsborough. <br />5. Received a presentation update from staff on the status of State, RPO and <br />MPO project prioritization. <br />6. Received regular updates from staff on current DCHC MPO, BG MPO and <br />TARPO activities. <br />7. Held a Board discussion with NCDOT representatives on a number of <br />current County transportation topics including bike and pedestrian <br />projects, and minor intersection improvements at problem sites. <br />8. Reviewed selected private road and access standards from the Unified <br />Development Ordinance (UDO) Section 7.8 Access and Roadways, and <br />made a recommendation to the BOCC that staff develop amendments. <br />9. Received a presentation by the Orange County Department of <br />Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation (DEAPR) staff on the <br />Draft Parks and Recreation Master Plan 2030, and provided input. <br />10. Received a presentation update from staff on the Safe Routes to School <br />Action Plan (SRTS) implementation actions. <br />2 <br />
