Hillsborough 27278 <br />919 - 732 -3432 ext 102 ocabcAmindspring.com <br />Primary County Staff Contact: Commissioner Burroughs and Donna Baker <br />How many times per month does this board /commission meet, including any special <br />meetings and sub - committee meetings? <br />The Board meets once per month on the 3rd Tuesday at 8:30am <br />Provide a Brief Statement of the Boards Assigned Charge and Responsibilities. <br />The Mission of the Orange County ABC Board and our employees is to serve our <br />locality responsibly by controlling the sale of spirituous liquor, returning profits to Law <br />Enforcement, Alcohol Education, and the County Fund while providing excellent <br />service in customer friendly, modern and efficient stores. <br />What are your Board /Commission's most important accomplishments? <br />A distribution of $400,000 is being made to the Orange County General fund for 2014- <br />2015. The board also set aside $48,333 to contribute to the Board Retiree Health Care <br />Plan. We will distribute $130,000 to Alcohol Law Enforcement agencies. The board also <br />committed $156,550 to Alcohol Rehabilitation and Education grants for schools and <br />local community organizations. All of these distributions are well over and above <br />General Statute requirements. <br />
