While my focus at the <br />School has been on the courts and criminal justice system, I believe my experience in law, <br />public policy, and governance would be relevant to the work of the board. <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />Having grown up in California, I appreciate the importance of planning for growth and <br />development. I came to North Carolina in 1979 to attend law school at Carolina and, after <br />practicing law elsewhere, returned in 1991 to work at the School of Government.
