I spent 29 <br />years at the US Department of Justice in their General Counsel s Office and worked for the <br />Administrative Office of the US Courts. Prior to that, I worked in the employee relations field. As <br />a mediator I handled numerous divorce cases for D.C. Multi -door and employment cases for <br />Federal agencies. I also hold an M.A. in Sociology with a specialization in social psychology. I <br />have extensive training in EEO and Employment law and am a court trained mediator. I have <br />represented the Federal Government in numerous EEO and employment cases. I have also <br />mediated some of thse cases and, at the Defense Dependents Schools and the Administrative <br />Office of the U. S. Courts, I developed various EEO related plans and training materials and <br />trained individuals concerning EEO requirements. As a member of the Commission I can bring <br />my knowledge of the various EEO related statutes to the table. As a trained mediator, I can <br />bring my skills to assist in resolving issues. As a sociologist I was trained to appreciate cultural <br />diversity which has left me ope to understanding the morays and cultural differences that may <br />generate misunderstandings between various groups in our society.
