My coursework on various <br />environmental issues is especially relevant to this board; in addition, I taught an undergraduate <br />course in the environmental studies department. While in school, I volunteered for the North <br />Carolina Coastal Reserve on Masonboro Island. I m continuing my education through my <br />enrollment in the North Carolina Environmental Educator certification program. I have previously <br />interned with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, which deals with a number of environmental <br />issues. <br />Reasons for wanting to serve on this board: <br />For years I ve enjoyed spending time in Orange County s natural areas, including the Bolin <br />Creek Trail, Carolina North Forest, and Occoneechee State Natural Area. Now that I am finished <br />with school, I want to become more involved in my local community, and serving on the planning <br />board would allow me to combine my personal interests with my educational background. <br />Conflict of Interest: <br />Supplemental Questions: <br />
