He noted the tremendous economic impact the development of arts has provided <br />18 <br />to the County. He thanked the Board for their support. <br />19 <br />Arts Commissioner Director Martha Shannon reviewed the history of the creation of the <br />20 <br />Arts Commission. She said the total state grassroots allocation from 1985 through the present <br />21 <br />time is $695,048, and $78,394 in state funds was retained by the Arts Commission to fund the <br />22 <br />arts programming.
