Adjournment <br />At the same meeting the Board discussed official and alternate spokespeople for the Board. <br />The following new rule is offered for consideration. <br />Rule 35. The Chair shall be the Spokesperson for the Board. The Chair shall be the official <br />spokesperson for the Board. In the Chair's absence, the Vice -Chair shall be spokesperson. In <br />the absence of the Chair and Vice - Chair, the most senior BOCC member will be the <br />spokesperson. This follows the standard hierarchy of Board leadership. The Chair may <br />designate a Board representative to speak at events where a speaker has been requested to <br />represent the BOCC. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: None <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the changes to <br />the "Rules of Procedure for the Board of Commissioners" as outlined above regarding <br />Announcements and Petitions by Board Members and the Spokesperson for the Board. <br />
