They are in class <br /> 19 teaching our children and future voters. <br /> 20 <br /> 21 The hardest part of sending my children to school today was knowing that teachers are being <br /> 22 forced to make very tough decisions. They are being forced to leave our state or their profession <br /> 23 to find better opportunities. With a 15.7% drop in average pay for our teachers and forced <br /> 24 increase of attention placed on testing, accountability and restrictions is a direct attack on the <br /> 25 teaching profession. <br /> 26 <br /> 27 We appreciate and recognize the dedication of our public school teachers everyday, especially <br /> 28 today.
