Chapter 2 <br />A summary of solid waste management activities undertaken in the past four years, specifically by the <br />Orange County Solid Waste Management Department Table 2-a. <br />There was only one major change in solid waste activities reported by an individual municipality during the <br />period from FY 2003-04 through the present. The Town of Carrboro converted to automated residential <br />collection in 2004-OS and saved one FTE; that position was transferred to another Public Works Division. <br />The various changes made at Solid Waste Convenience Centers are incorporated into the Solid Waste <br />Department's table 2-a although the County's Sanitation Division did not become part of the Solid Waste <br />Department until July 2007 <br />Remainder of this page intentionally blank <br />17 <br />
