ATTACHMENT 6 <br /> ' 19 <br /> Draft Revision to Article V "Pay Plan" <br /> of the Orange County Personnel Ordinance <br /> (Changes shown in boldface) <br /> 7.0 CAREER GROWTH RECOGNITION AWARD <br /> Effective <br /> 7/4/94 7.1 General <br /> The County provides Career Growth Recognition Awards to <br /> eligible employees in recognition of work performance <br /> at the effective or higher level in accordance with the <br /> Work Planning and Performance Review Program. (See <br /> Article VII, "Employee Performance Evaluation <br /> Program. ") <br /> 7 .2 Eligibility <br /> 7.2.1 To be eligible for a Career Growth Recognition <br /> Award, the employee must: <br /> -Be Permanent Full Time or Part Time (regularly <br /> scheduled at least 20 hours each workweek) . <br /> -Have received a WPPR performance rating of <br /> effective or higher on his or her WPPR Review <br /> Date. <br /> 7.2.2 An otherwise eligible employee at the salary <br /> range maximum (Step 11B) may receive a Career <br /> Growth Recognition Award as a one-time, lump sum <br /> payment which does not become a part of annual <br /> salary. <br /> 7 .3 Career Growth Recognition Award Amount <br /> For employees with WPPR Review Dates of July 4, 1994 <br /> (the beginning date of the first pay period in Fiscal <br /> Year 1994-95) through July 2, 1995 (the ending date of <br /> the last pay period in Fiscal Year 1994-95) , the Career <br /> Growth Recognition Award amount for an eligible <br /> employee is a quarter step (approximately 1.25 percent) <br /> salary increase. <br /> 7 .4 WPPR Review Date <br /> An employee's WPPR Review Date is the annual <br /> anniversary of the date of employment or the date of <br /> the last promotion, whichever is later. For example, <br /> if an employee began work on July 15, 1990, the WPPR <br /> Review Date is July 15 in succeeding years. If the <br /> employee is promoted February 2, 1992, the employee' s <br /> WPPR Review Date changes to February 2 in succeeding <br /> years. <br />
