The recommended composition of this committee is 9 <br /> voting members: 2 members each would be selected by the County and the <br /> Towns of Carrboro, Chapel Hill, and Hillsborough; the ninth member <br /> would be appointed by the LOG. <br /> The citizens' advisory committee would provide citizen oversight and <br /> recommendations to the consultant and the LOG concerning the integrated <br /> solid waste management plan study. The committee would work directly <br /> with the consultant and the LOG, and would be supported by the LOG <br /> staff. If possible, it is considered desirable to have all governing <br /> board appointments made before the LOG meeting on July 7 so that the <br /> committee composition and meeting schedule can be finalized at that <br /> time. <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS The Manager recommends that the Board authorize the <br /> Clerk to solicit applications for two County appointments to the Solid <br /> Waste Planning Advisory Committee, with the intent that the Board would <br /> consider making these appointments at the Commissioners' meeting on <br /> June 28, 1994. <br />
