2 <br /> The recommended landfill budget, which incorporates the proposed fees, <br /> would fund all current programs and the following new programs and <br /> expansions: <br /> * A permanent household hazardous waste collection program ($92,000 <br /> first year) <br /> * Expansion of the rural curbside recycling program from its current <br /> level of about 4400 homes to about 5600 homes ($23,400) <br /> * Funding for a new reserve fund for future landfill development <br /> ($25,000) <br /> * Funding for a source reduction program ($51,000) <br /> * One additional pedestrian oriented recycling bin ($2,600) <br /> * Increasing the amount for waste reduction grants (net increase of <br /> $5,000, to a total of $15,000) <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board approve 1994-95 <br /> tipping fees of $26/ton for mixed solid waste, $16/ton for ash, and <br /> $5/ton for clean wood waste. <br />
