The grant did not create new <br /> funding streams, but combined funds appropriated to the <br /> Department on Aging, Department of Social Services and <br /> Joint Orange Chatham Community Action Agency to <br /> administer programs for senior citizens. <br /> On May 10, 1994 the Home and Community Care Block Grant <br /> Advisory Committee met and endorsed a recommended <br /> funding plan for fiscal year 1994-95. The block grant <br /> requires the Board of Commissioners to conduct a public <br /> hearing to receive comments on the recommended funding <br /> plan. The recommended funding plan for the 1994-95 <br /> fiscal year is $456 more than the 1993-94 fiscal year. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : The Manager recommends that the Board <br /> conduct the public hearing; and approve of the <br /> 1994-95 Home and Community Care Block Grant <br /> Funding Plan as endorsed by the Home and <br /> Community Care Block Grant Advisory Committee. <br />
