The positions are similar in the coordination of public <br /> health programs (which includes facilitating the <br /> coordination of efforts of various agencies, schools, <br /> coalitions, county departments and other community <br /> groups) ; budgetary responsibility; program management, <br /> evaluation and reporting; and supervisory <br /> responsibility over volunteer staff. <br /> Thus the recommendation is to expand the existing class <br /> of Public Health Educator/Kellogg Project Director to <br /> include the proposed position. To do this, the title <br /> would be changed to Senior Public Health Educator and <br /> the class specification would be changed to include the <br /> specific duties and responsibilities of the proposed <br /> position. The salary grade assignment (68) will not <br /> change. <br /> Upon approval of this recommended change, the position <br /> currently assigned to the Public Health Educator <br /> /Kellogg Project Director will be reassigned to the new <br /> class title of Senior Public Health Educator at the <br /> same salary grade and the proposed position will be <br /> classified as Senior Public Health Educator also at <br /> salary grade 68. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends the Board amend the <br /> Classification and Pay Plan to change the class title <br /> for Public Health Educator/Kellogg Project Director to <br /> Senior Public Health Educator. <br />
