Willis responded that <br /> she did not know what the specific technical <br /> concerns are. She felt that there is a <br /> perception that any flexibility or change will <br /> result in more development than can occur at the <br /> present. <br /> Burklin asked what process do we go through to <br /> get feedback from Hillsborough. Willis responded <br /> that she did not specifically contact the Town of <br /> Hillsborough but they do receive copies of the <br /> agenda. She continued that the amendment is more <br /> of process rather than substance. Burklin asked <br /> that Hillsborough be informed of the finding that <br /> 50% of the lots might be building closer to <br /> the reservoir than Orange County Standards even <br /> though it would still be within the State <br /> standards. <br /> Waddell noted that the Planning Board comments <br /> might influence the Health Department as to <br /> making inspections of these lots, yet recognizing <br /> the fact that the Planning Board does not have <br /> any power to proposed ordinance changes affecting <br /> the Health Department. <br /> Burklin asked that the report included in the <br /> agenda on Lake Orange lots be specifically made <br /> available to Hillsborough. Willis agreed to do <br /> SO* <br /> Brown brought to the Board's attention the <br /> resolutions included in the agenda packet from <br /> OWASA, Town of Carrboro and the Citizens Group - <br /> Protect Our Water. She continued that she felt <br /> this is a health issue and she could not support <br /> the motion unless it excluded University Lake <br /> and Cane Creek Watersheds. <br /> VOTE: 7 in favor. <br /> 2 opposed (Brown - as a health issue, supports <br /> the recommendation of the Town of Carrboro, the <br /> OWASA Board that this should not apply to Cane <br />
