The members shall be <br /> representatives of local governments, response agencies, the <br /> medical community, and citizens at large as listed below: <br /> Citizen Personnel (Total of 9) <br /> ( 1) County Commissioner <br /> (3) Governmental Representatives - Carrboro, Chapel Hill, <br /> Hillsborough (Elected Officials or their Designees) <br /> (4 ) Citizen Consumers - At-Large appointed by County <br /> Commissioners <br /> ( 1) Strategic Planning Committee Representative <br /> EMS/Hospital Personnel (Total of 41 <br /> ( 1) Chief - Orange County Rescue Squad <br /> ( 1) Chief - South Orange Rescue Squad <br /> ( 1) Deputy Director/EMS - Orange County Emergency Management <br /> ( 1) Nurse/ALS Liaison - UNC Department of Emergency Medicine <br /> At-Large EMS Personnel (Total of 5) <br /> ( 1) Member of Orange County Rescue Squad <br /> (Nominated by OCAS for a 1-Year Term) <br /> ( 1) Member of South Orange Rescue Squad <br /> (Nominated by SOBS for a 1-Year Term) <br /> ( 1) EMS Employee - Orange County Emergency Management <br /> (Nominated by fellow employees for a 1-Year Term) <br /> ( 1) Telecommunicator - Orange County Emergency Management <br /> (Nominated by fellow employees for a 1-Year Term) <br /> ( 1) First Responder - Orange County First Responder Program <br /> (Nominees of each program selected by fellow first <br /> responders; Finalist nominated by OC Chiefs' Council for <br /> a 1-Year Term) <br /> Ex-officio Personnel (Total of 6) <br /> ( 1) Director - Orange County Emergency Management <br /> ( 1) Medical Director - UNC Hospitals/Orange County <br /> ( 1) Medical Affairs Officer - UNC Hospitals/ <br /> Orange County <br /> ( 1) Assistant County Manager - Orange County <br /> ( 1) Executive Director - American Red Cross <br /> ( 1) Public Information Officer - Orange County <br /> (Total of 24 Members) <br /> Citizen appointments shall be for a two-year period. These <br /> citizens may be reappointed or new appointments may be made in <br /> accordance with Orange County Commissioners' Policy. All except <br /> ex-officios will be voting members. <br /> Members who miss three consecutive unexcused meetings shall be <br /> contacted by the secretary to determine their intent to continue <br /> participation; for members who miss four consecutive unexcused <br /> meetings, the appointing authority will be notified of the <br /> absenteeism. <br />
