2 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES ADVISORY COUNCIL <br /> INTERIM GUIDELINES <br /> PURPOSE: The purpose of the Council shall be: <br /> To constitute a forum for the consideration of all <br /> aspects of the delivery of emergency medical care in Orange <br /> County. <br /> To make recommendations relative to emergency medical <br /> services to the Orange County Commissioners and other <br /> appropriate agencies. <br /> To give all possible support to the emergency medical <br /> activities of the Orange County Emergency Medical Services <br /> System including: <br /> a) Planning for the coordination of all parts of the <br /> System <br /> b) Promotion of an effective communication system for <br /> emergency medical services <br /> c) Promotion of educational programs for emergency <br /> medical services personnel <br /> d) Development of public information and education <br /> programs <br /> f) Making recommendations regarding the allocation of <br /> funds for equipment, vehicles and other resources <br /> TERRITORIAL LIMITS: <br /> The Council shall operate within the geographical bounds <br /> of Orange County. <br /> MEMBERSHIP: <br /> The Commissioners of Orange County shall set the <br /> membership and shall affirm all proposed members. The <br /> members should be representatives of all local <br /> governments, response agencies, the medical community and <br /> citizens at large. <br /> REGULAR MEETINGS: <br /> Meetings shall be held every other month at a time and <br /> Place set by the Council . <br />
