The agreement provides a cost effective means of assuring high quality <br /> medical supervision of the Family Nurse Practitioners and other staff serving in <br /> the following clinics: Family Planning, Prenatal Care, Child Health, <br /> Tuberculosis, Sexually Transmitted Disease, General communicable Disease Control <br /> and Adult Health Preventive Services. The terms and the amount of the contract <br /> are the same as the previous year. The health department agrees to pay the <br /> University Fifty-three thousand one hundred ninety-six dollars ($53,196) in <br /> return for an average 22 hours per week of faculty time. <br /> Processing of this agreement has been delayed pending the outcome of staff <br /> reassignments at UNC. Funds for this contract have been included in the approved <br /> 1993-94 budget. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the contract be approved and <br /> that the Chair be authorized to sign. <br />
