Teer intends to continue to operate the existing plant through the balance of the term <br /> of its agreement with OWASA. <br /> Gene Bell of your office has asked me for American Stone's response to issues raised <br /> at the initial Joint Planning Area public hearing and the Commissioner's public hearing on <br /> the Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) submitted by American Stone. The principal <br /> issues raised at the hearing on the EIS had to do with the proposed new asphalt plant which I <br /> believe are fully addressed by the deletion of the plant from the application. <br /> There were also questions raised at both public hearings about vibration and noise. <br /> Under separate,cover, American Stone will be providing you with a narrative of its attempts <br /> to address the concerns expressed by individual property owners. <br />
