Located away from areas where development <br /> would have a detrimental impact on state or federally acknowledged <br /> historic-cultural sites or County identified Public Interest Areas. <br /> COMPLIES. There are no state or federally acknowledged <br /> historic/cultural sites or County-identified Public Interest <br /> Areas in the vicinity of the proposed amendment. There are <br /> however, 2 churches, one cemetery, and one community site in <br /> the area as identified in the 1986 "Inventory of Sites of <br /> Cultural, Historical,.Recreational, Biological, and Geological <br /> Significance in the Unincorporated Portions of Orange County". <br /> Hickory Grove Baptist Church and Bethel Baptist Church are <br /> located approximately one-half mile northeast of the proposed <br /> operation. The Tarheel Sertoma Club and an unnamed cemetery <br /> are approximately three-fourths of a mile west of this site. <br /> COMPATIBILITY OF AMENDMENT WITH EXISTING JPA POLICY <br /> The applicant has indicated that the amendment is not in response <br /> to a change in policies, objectives, principles or standards <br /> governing the physical development of the County. It is therefore <br /> appropriate to analyze the amendment within the framework of the <br /> Operating Principles of the Joint Planning Area Land Use Plan. <br /> These policy statements are listed on pages 52 and 53 of the Plan. <br /> As with the location standards analyses, COMPLIES means that the <br /> area being evaluated is compatible with the policy or policies. <br /> DOE8 NOT COMPLY means it is not.
