Article 6: Development Standards <br />Section 6.12: Signs <br />(a) Only one #888tandiRg commercial sign is <br />permitted for each development. However, a second sign may be <br />permitted where a site has more than one vehicular entrance on different <br />sides of the building. <br />(b) A #886tandiRg idpAtifiratigp n- premise commercial sign must be placed <br />perpendicular to approaching vehicular traffic so that it is clearly visible <br />and does not obstruct the view of any other identification or information <br />sign. <br />(c) A fFeestandiRg OC184f,Gati,,n n- premise commercial sign must be located <br />at least 10 -feet from any property line or driveway. <br />(2) Buckhorn EDD & Eno EDD Only <br />The following criteria shall govern the number, size, and height of identification <br />signs in the Buckhorn and Eno EDDs: <br />(C) Directional /Informational Signs <br />In lieu of the requirements contained in Section 6.12.11(G), the following require t: <br />shall apply to Directional /Informational signs located in Economic Developricso istric <br />(1) Information signs must be placed perpendicular to approaching that <br />t hey are visible and legible. <br />(2\ Signs must be located outside of the site visibility trian <br />(3) I mation signs must be positioned to avoid co sing backgrounds, <br />partk rly when they are intended to direct icular traffic on or to- and -from <br />the site. <br />(4) Information sig may be placed n oser than six feet to the edge of a road or <br />drive, and, in no ca may the e located within a street right -of -way unless <br />they are erected by a g er entaI agency. <br />(5) Information signs ma of ex ed four feet in height. <br />(6) Information sign ay not contain vertising material or exceed six square feet <br />in area. <br />(D) Temporary Sys <br />(1) porary signs may be used for construction an al estate information, and <br />future tenant identification, in accordance with the prov "ons of this Section. <br />(E) wnings <br />(1) The form and color of the awnings must be consistent. <br />(2) A minimum eight -foot vertical clearance must be maintained. <br />" We are keeping the height of signs erected within our Economic Development Districts the same.
