PUBLIC HEALTH MONTH <br /> PROCLAMATION FROM THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> APRIL, 1994 <br /> WHEREAS, The State of North Carolina has adopted the month of <br /> April, 1994, as Public Health Month in North Carolina; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, The public health facilities in Orange County serve <br /> thousands of our citizens each year; and <br /> WHEREAS, Public health assures a clean, safer, more wholesome <br /> environment in which to live; and <br /> WHEREAS, Healthful living is the major prevention of the financial <br /> burdens of disease and chronic illness; and <br /> WHEREAS, Concerned, informed and active citizens will ensure a <br /> healthy future for Orange County; <br /> THEREFORE, We hereby proclaim April, 1994, as PUBLIC HEALTH MONTH <br /> in Orange County, with the theme "Healthy Living". <br /> This, the 4th day of April, 1994. <br /> M s Carey, Jr. , Cha <br /> Orange County Commissi er <br />
