The position will be supervised by Land <br /> Records Manager Roscoe Reeve. <br /> Personnel' s review of the projected duties of this <br /> position indicates the need to establish a new class <br /> of GIS Application Developer at Salary Grade 72 to <br /> recognize the duties and responsibilities. This <br /> recommended salary grade is based on salary survey <br /> information obtained from other public employers in <br /> North Carolina and comparison with other classes in <br /> the Orange County Classification and Pay plan, <br /> including data processing and planning classes. <br /> There is no increase in cost associated with the <br /> temporary reassignment of this position. The salary <br /> grade proposed for this class is the same as that <br /> assigned to the Planner III class. <br /> With approval of the new class the vacant Planner III <br /> position at Salary Grade 72 will be reclassified to <br /> the GIS Application Developer class also at Salary <br /> Grade 72. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends the Board amend the Orange <br /> County Classification and Pay Plan to add the class of <br /> GIS Application Developer at Salary Grade 72. <br />
