Link, Jr. , County Manager
Orange County Department of Aging
300 West Tryon Street
Hillsborough, North Carolina 27278
Dear Mr. Link:
In January 1994, all National Senior Volunteer Corps projects that
have demonstrated satisfactory management, administrative, and
programmatic performance were notified that they have an option to
choose multi-year project approval. Since Orange County Department
of Aging RSVP project has such an outstanding performance record,
they were notified of this new option.
Participating projects will be approved for up to three years, with
annual Notice of Grant Awards issued obligating funds for each
specific year.
This simplified, streamlined application procedure will result in
reduced paperwork and burden. This does not place your agency
under any new regulations or additional funding. Local funding
would continue to be allocated based on the budgeting process of
the local sponsor. Budgets are subject for revision at the end of
the first and second year.
If you have any questions, or if I can be of assistance, please let
me know.
Sincerely,
Robert L. Winston, Director
North Carolina State Office
RLW/fr
cc: Kathy Mangum, RSVP Direct, voe
a T
W.000UN
 r
r
North Carolina State Program Office
Federal Building, P.O.
