Tinney <br /> Copy of Senior Games Proclamation <br /> TELEPHONE NUMBER: Ext. 2669 <br /> Hillsborough - 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill - 968-4501 <br /> Mebane - 227-2031 <br /> Durham 688-7331 <br /> PURPOSE: <br /> To request that the Orange County Board of Commissioners proclaim the two weeks of April <br /> 14-28, 1994, as Orange County Senior Games Events Days, and encourage citizens over the <br /> age of 55 to participate in the Games. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Orange County Senior Games is a year-round wellness program for persons age 55 or older, <br /> sponsored by Orange County Recreation & Parks, Orange County Department on Aging, Chapel <br /> Hill Parks and Recreation, and Carrboro Recreation & Parks. The program is funded through <br /> these agencies, through donations received from the community, and through participant <br /> fees. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S) : <br /> The Manager recommends that the Board of Com Issioners proclaim the two weeks of April <br /> 14-28, 1994 as Orange' County Senior Games Events Weeks. <br />
